SD lets Keystone end pipeline construction bonds

• PIERRE, S.D. (AP) -- State regulators have agreed to let TransCanada Keystone cancel $15 million in bonds it had posted to cover any damage to roads and bridges while it was building a crude oil pipeline across eastern South Dakota.

• The three members of the South Dakota Public Utilities Commission voted unanimously Tuesday to release the bonds.
• TransCanada Keystone lawyer Brett Koenecke (KIHN'-uh-kee) of Pierre says the company has taken care of all road damage caused by the pipeline that was completed about two years ago.
