• The Tony and Dar Dean Outdoor Education Fund will offer grants to qualifying projects in amounts ranging from $500 to $1,500.
• The Rapid City Journal reports (http://bit.ly/HsyvUx ) the grants will be used for such things as paying for travel by students or groups to educational events, buying supplies and materials to promote outdoor education, and developing new events and activities.

Lottery ticket sold in Sioux Falls worth $250,000

• PIERRE, S.D. (AP) -- The South Dakota Lottery says a ticket sold in Sioux Falls was just one number away from winning the record $640 million Mega Millions jackpot in Friday's drawing.
• The ticket holder matched all five white ball numbers but missed the Mega Ball to win the $250,000 second prize. Lottery officials say the odds of winning that second prize are about one in 3.9 million.
• South Dakota also had three third-prize winners who will get $10,000 each from
