Noem raises 4 times the funds of Robinson
• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- U.S. Rep. Kristi Noem raised more than four times the campaign contributions of Democratic challenger Corinna Robinson during the first three months of 2014. • The Federal Election Commission report for Noem shows the Republican raised about $273,000 and spent nearly $149,000 during the quarter ending March 31, leaving her cash on hand of about $903,000. Her report showed no campaign debt. • Robinson raised about $65,000 during the quarter. Her FEC report shows she spent about $60,000 and had cash on hand of slightly more than $19,000 as of March 31 with campaign debt of $20,000. • Robinson spent 25 years in the Army and five years as a civilian with the Pentagon and the Iraqi Command. • Noem has represented South Dakota in the U.S. House since 2011. •
SD Democrat Weiland raises $204K during 1Q of 2014
• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Rick Weiland has raised nearly $204,000 during the first three months of 2014 for his campaign to win the seat being vacated by retiring Sen. Tim Johnson. • Weiland's FEC report shows he spent slightly more than $103,000 and had about $485,000 cash on hand as of March 31. His report shows campaign debt of nearly $109,000. • Weiland is a Sioux Falls business owner who once served as a staffer for former U.S. Sen. Tom Daschle. He's the sole Democratic candidate. • Five are seeking the GOP nomination: former Gov. Mike Rounds, state Sen. Larry Rhoden of Union Center, state Rep.
