• An open enrollment for a kindergarten student from the Aberdeen School District was approved.
• All teacher contract were returned signed. With the legislative increase in state aid, Schwan said the district may have to renegotiate with the teachers and have an addendum of $150 per teacher.
• Groton was awarded a grant by the South Dakota Arts Council to host the 2015 Children's Theater. The date has been set for March 22, 2015.
• Seven students were recognized for tutoring middle school and high school students during the last half hour of school each day. Middle School/High School Principal Anna Schwan said, "It was something they wanted to do and it takes a lot of (Continued on page 5)
