FBI seeks man in child pornography probe
• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- The Federal Bureau of Investigation is seeking the public's help in identifying an unknown man as part of a child pornography investigation. • The FBI alleges the man has been involved in the exploitation and sexual abuse of a child victim. • The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, possibly in his 30s or 40s, with a receding hairline. • The FBI's information doesn't suggest the crime occurred in a particular state or region of the country. • The FBI says images show the man and the victim inside a residence with what appears to be a blue sofa chair and a picture hanging on a wall in the background. The man is wearing a burgundy t-shirt with what appears to be a shark logo on the left side.
SD woman sentenced for embezzling nearly $1.2M
• WATERTOWN, S.D. (AP) -- A Castlewood woman has been sentenced for embezzling nearly $1.2 million from her Watertown employer. • Judge Robert Timm on Wednesday sentenced 48-year-old Brenda Anderson to 15 years in prison, fined her $30,000 and ordered her to pay restitution to Sioux Rural Water System. • Timm says it's the most egregious case of embezzlement he's seen in his 27 years on the bench. • Anderson was the office coordinator for the rural water system from January 2005 through last November. She pleaded guilty to embezzlement.
Snow causes travel issues in western South Dakota
• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- Snow is causing problems for motorists in western South Dakota, and the eastern part of the state could be in for another round of snow later this week. • The National Weather Service issued an advisory for western South Dakota on Wednesday morning, with as much as 5 inches of snow expected.
