Unidentified pedestrian hit, killed in Box Elder
• BOX ELDER, S.D. (AP) -- A pickup driver ran over and killed a pedestrian on an Interstate 90 service road east of Rapid City in Box Elder.
• The Department of Public Safety says it happened before dawn on Friday on a stretch of road that doesn't have street lights.
• The agency says 52-year-old Michael Albright, of Box Elder, was going east in his Chevrolet pickup when he struck what he thought was a deer. He stopped and got out and realized he had hit a pedestrian.
• Authorities haven't been able to identify the person, who was taken to a Rapid City hospital where he was pronounced dead.
