Storm System Rolls into the Northwest U.S.; Upper Midwest is Next Target
• A strong storm system will bring wind, rain, and mountain snow to the Pacific Northwest and Northern Rockies through Tuesday. Wintry weather will move into the Northern Plains on Monday, and will spread into the Upper Midwest through the mid-week. Widespread heavy snowfall, dangerously cold wind chills, and drifting snow are possible for this area. • Today: Mostly cloudy. A 50 percent chance of sleet...possibly mixed with rain and freezing rain in the morning. Highs in the lower 40s. South winds 5 to 10 mph.
