Lily Culter, a sophomore at Groton Area High School placed 5th in Varsity Humorous Interp at the NSU Oral Interp Contest on Saturday, October 19th. Schools from throughout the northeast competed at this contest. Also competing for Groton was Jocelyn Peterson in Dramatic Interp, Keri Pappas in Non-original Oratory, and Pappas, Jenifer Fjelstad, and Erin Smith in Readers Theater.
Cutler, Fjelstad, Pappas, and Smith also competed at the Milbank Novice Interp Festival on Tuesday, October 15. At this event Cutler earned a superior plus in Humorous, Pappas a superior in Non-original Oratory; Fjelstad, Pappas and Smith a superior in Readers Theater.
