(AP) -- The Pierre School Board has voted to spend $1.25 million to buy land for a new elementary school. • The 10 ½-acre property is in an undeveloped area in the northeastern part of the capital city. Construction will start after the city builds roads to the area. • School board committees plan to meet Thursday to start design work on the new school. •
