Tours scheduled of Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls
• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- Anyone eager to see the inner workings of the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls can take one of several upcoming tours planned in the coming weeks. • Open houses will be held Oct. 12, Oct. 17, Oct. 22, Oct. 30 and Nov. 4. • The Pentagon is located at the new Sanford Sports Complex. It's a 160,000-square-foot, five-sided building featuring nine basketball courts, including the 1950s/1960s-inspired Heritage Court. • The complex is on Westport Avenue between Benson Road and West 54th Street. •
Court justice to lead Dakota Days Parade
• VERMILLION, S.D. (AP) -- South Dakota Supreme Court Justice Lori Wilbur is scheduled to serve as marshal of the 99th Dakota Days Parade on Saturday. • Wilbur, appointed to the state's highest court, graduated from USD with a bachelor's degree in 1974 and earned her law degree from the USD School of Law in 1977. • The day's festivities culminate with a Coyotes' football game against Missouri State at 2 p.m. Activities earlier in the week included a pep rally, a talent competition and an all-alumni reunion dinner. •
