The Groton Boys Soccer team defeated Mitchell on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 in Groton by a score of 4-0.   The team had several scoring chances in the first half and finally connected with a goal at the 7:40 mark by Luca Kother.   At 3:07 Adam Herman placed a header into the net with the corner kick assist going to Luke Sternhagen.   In the last minute of first half play, Landon Larson scored (assist Luca Kother) to give Groton the 3-0 halftime lead.   In the second half, James Thompson scored with an assist by Adam Herman at 15:22 to round out the scoring.  Groton's goalkeeper was Chance Strom.    The Tigers now with a record of 8 wins, 5 losses, and 1 tie have earned a playoff game with possible dates to range from Thursday to Saturday.
