"But we do have three major areas that we need to improve on--blocking, tackling and being physical." • One of Groton's starters, Spencer Knecht, was sidelined from the Parkston game. "We found out on Wednesday that he wasn't suppose to play because of his shoulder injury. That threw a wrinkle into our game plan so we had to tweak things a little bit." Also, four to five players were gone to the state fair and some were gone because of soccer. "But we do have a lot of depth," Wanner said. "This is probably the most kids we've had out in a long time." Groton has 49 players on the roster.
