• Webster was able to tie up the score in the fourth inning. Blake Wilkinson got on base and advanced to second on an error. Spencer Lux then hit a double to bring Wilkinson home.
• The score would remain tied until the top of the eighth inning when Jamie Jorgensen walked and then made it to third base on a pinch-hit single by Michael Erickson. On the next pitch, Jorgensen would score on a passed ball, giving Groton back the lead, 2-1.
• Groton would add two more runs in the ninth inning. With Drew Planteen and Brandon Stanley both on bases, Madsen hit a line drive down the middle of the field to bring Planteen home and move Stanley to second base. Dalton
