Groton Ladies Golf Tourney
• Thirteen teams competed in the Groton Ladies Golf Invitational on Monday. Colette Quam and Joan Bosanko won the championship flight with a score of 74, while Sharon Hardina and Linda Azure won the first flight with a score of 86.
• A three-way tie resulted in three different holes being used to break the tie in the championship flight for second place. The final result showed Cindy Kraft and Cristy Strivens taking the win. The second place team in the first flight was Mona Smith and Lonna Wanner.
• Wanner also won the longest drive award on pin #2. Sue Stanley was closest to the pin on #4 and Sharon Zastrow had the longest drive on #9.
