Rewards increased in death of 2 Rapid City men
• RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) -- A community organization in Rapid City is increasing the amount of reward money offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction in the death of two men. • Rapid City police say in a news release that The Community Reward Fund is now offering a $6,000 reward for information in the death of 45-year-old Robert Ghostbear or 40-year-old Carl Bordeaux. • The body of Ghostbear was found March 21, 2012. An autopsy determined he died from a blow to the head. Bordeaux was found dead in his apartment in January 2009. His throat had been cut and a phone cord was wrapped around his neck. • Both cases remain open investigations. • The Reward Fund -- operated with donations from community businesses and organizations -- was established in 1992. •
Augustana pitcher signs with Cleveland Indians
• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- Augustana College sophomore pitcher Jordan Milbrath has signed with the Cleveland Indians and will forgo his junior and senior seasons at the Sioux Falls school. • The Indians drafted Milbrath in the 35th round of this year's Major League Baseball draft. He was the 1,041st player selected. • Milbrath is a right-hander from Springfield, Minn. He has been assigned to the Arizona Rookie League. •

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- South Dakota's new economic development incentives are making the state more competitive with neighbors on large wind projects, but other industry challenges are keeping South Dakota from tapping its potential. • Though it's the nation's fifth-windiest state, South Dakota produces just 784 megawatts in wind energy -- a number more than doubled by North Dakota, nearly quadrupled by Minnesota and surpassed more than six-fold by Iowa.
