• A Celebration of Life for Marvel Johnson, 90, of Groton will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 12^th at the Groton United Methodist Church.  The Rev. Matt Richards will officiate.  Private inurnment will be held in Union Cemetery, Groton.
• Visitation will be held at the church for one hour prior to services on Wednesday.

• Arvon Taylor, 70, of Conde passed away at his home on June 9, 2013.  Services are pending for Thursday with Paetznick-Garness Funeral Chapel, Groton. 

Lee Schinkel sang with the Aberdeen Friendship Singers, when they provided entertainment for the residents and staff of Angelhaus, in Aberdeen last Thursday.
 
Kiwanis Club
In the absence of a program, Tom Paepke, vice president; led a planning session on the club's 60th anniversary.  Plans are being made to observe this birthday on Thursday evening, June 27.  Suzi Oliver and Lee Schinkel reported on the areas they are working on.
