• The South Dakota Opportunity Scholarship was established in 2004 for Regents Scholar recipients with an ACT score of 24 or greater.  The scholarship provides $5000 over four years to a qualifying student who attends an eligible higher education institution in South Dakota.    While in college, students must maintain certain criteria.   This scholarship is non-competitive; all students who meet the requirements and complete the application can receive the scholarship.
