Man found dead in Rapid City ditch identified
• RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) -- Authorities have identified a man found dead in a drainage ditch in Rapid City. • The Rapid City Police Department says employees at a car dealership discovered the body of 65-year-old James Tracke late Monday afternoon. Tracke's last known address was in Pine Ridge. • City police and the Pennington County Sheriff's Office said it appeared that Tracke had been dead for several days. • Authorities say preliminary autopsy results don't show any trauma that might have caused his death. Full autopsy results will be complete in 2-3 weeks. •

• Rapid City Journal, Rapid City, May 19, 2013 • What was going on at the library? • For the second time in three months, the Rapid City Public Library is reviewing its security policy. On Monday, the library's Board of Trustees voted to add a police liaison officer. • After a Feb. 21 shooting of a man with a knife outside the downtown library, the library added full-time private security. The man who was shot had just been escorted out of the library when he advanced on police while waving a knife. • Now the library is supplementing private security with a Rapid City Police Department liaison. • Why? Neither the library board nor city officials will provide details. • There are hints that there were concerns about security at the library.
