A spring snow storm will begin affecting the western Dakotas later this afternoon. This system will have the potential to bring a foot or more of snowfall to the Black Hills through Thursday morning. As the storm system tracks eastward it will encounter drier air with snowfall amounts a little more uncertain at this time.
