This would be a pretty picture for December, January or even February, but for the middle of April? A storm went through the area Saturday night and through Sunday evening. The area had everything from a winter weather advisory, an ice storm warning, a winter storm warning and even thunder snow Sunday afternoon. There were two lighting strikes 20 miles southeast of Groton. The power in the region was off for about an hour and a half Sunday evening due to ice for the towns of Groton, Andover, Bristol, Webster, Florence, Claremont, Pierpont and Langford, just to mention a few.
