An area of low pressure will continue to evolve over the region today. The wintry mix over eastern South Dakota and western Minnesota will continue through the morning with a steady change over to all snow. Snow showers out west will gradually push into the forecast area today. Strong winds develop as the system continues to move east. Winds will slowly diminish tonight.
