There will be some changes in the Class 11B football line up for next year. Britton-Hecla and Webster will drop down to nine-man football next year; however, Britton-Hecla will not be able to participate in the playoffs next year due to its enrollment just above the cutoff. Tiospa-Zine will join the 11-man ranks.
• That means more travel for the Groton Area team as Groton will pick up Parkston, Tiospa Zina and Sioux Valley (Volga down by Brookings) to its schedule.
• The 2013-14 schedule is as follows:

• Week 0: Groton hosts Parkston in 2013 and will travel to Parkston in 2014.
• Week 1: Groton at Roncalli in 2013 and will host Roncalli in 2014.
• Week 2: Groton at Mobridge-Pollock in 2013, will host Mobridge-Pollock in 2014
• Week 3: Groton hosts Redfield-Doland in 2013, travel to Redfield-Doland in 2014
• Week 4: Groton at Sioux Valley in 2013 and will host Sioux Valley in 2014.
• Week 5: Groton hosts Milbank Area in 2013 and will travel to Milbank in 2014.
• Week 7: Groton hosts Tiospa-Zina in 2013 and will travel to Tiospa Zina in 2014.
• Week 8: Groton at Sisseton in 2013 and will host Sisseton in 2014.
