• The Bismarck Branch of EMC Insurance Companies is very pleased to announce the annual dividend for the South Dakota Schools Safety Dividend Program.  The program's 2012 earned dividend, which is distributed to the program's members, is in the amount of $242,135 or 10.76% to all schools participating in the SD School Program.
• South Dakota School Districts can realize additional benefits from their insurance coverage by participating in programs such as the EMC South Dakota Schools Safety Dividend Program. EMC's program, established in 1999, makes school districts eligible to receive an annual dividend based on the extent of insurance losses of the group as a whole. If a dividend is earned, the amount returned to the member is in proportion to the premium paid by the member to the group. This allows members to participate in dividend distributions, even though losses of individual members may be higher than other members in the group.
• Prospects are good for a dividend again next year if 2013 produces profitable results. The program has been made available to the Groton School District through the Jacobson Agency of Groton and Bristol, SD.

The recycling trailer is in Groton. It is located at the city shop at 10 East Railroad Ave. Don't forget, there is also a dumpster at the city shop for aluminum cans with the proceeds going to the pool.
