Claremont Recorder By Beverly Patterson
• We are officially into the new year and so far things seem to be going quite well. I received a Motorola tablet for Christmas and because I am not near my computer I am typing the news on my new toy! I feel like I am sitting on the seat of my first bike trying to convince myself that I really can do this! So far so good but it wouldn't hurt for me to read the manual. I am told manuals can be incredibly helpful. I wouldn't know this as I've never had any experience with that type of thing! A few years ago we were assembling a yard swing sailing along quite nicely until the end. It seems you always have a few extra nuts and bolts left over, right? Well, I happened to notice the last line on the instructions as I was crumpling them up to toss that read: your swing included the exact amount of hardware necessary for assembly. If you have any pieces remaining your swing may not be safe. Consider dismantling and reassembly. Call us risk takers because dismantling and reassembly did not happen and everything worked out fine. • Christmas lasted a week at Lyle Cutler's. Melanie and Rick Rossow, Morgan and Tyler came from Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Sandy Fiegen came from Iowa with her entire family; Maureen and Phil Hrdlicka and son Kieran from St. Louis Mo. Kate and Tim Nash, Paul and friend Chelsea Behrens and Theresa from Cedar Rapids. Loren and Connie Cutler and all their family except Mallory and Frank Baumann. Cara Dennert, Kalee and Jenna and Jenna's Friend Chase Jameson. Dianthe and Troy Olson, Olivia, Grace, Delaney, Isaac and Merritt from Garretson S.D. • Rick and Melanie Rossow also entertained friends and relatives to celebrate Tyler's recent graduation from the University of Colorado, Fort Collins. • Saturday, December 28th Tom and Darlene Hanson of New Effington and Bonita (Continued on page 8)
