• Groton Area regrouped in the second quarter, but could not overtime the 20-point deficit. Groton outscored Mobridge-Pollock in the third quarter, 12-11, and in the fourth quarter 19-14.
• Mason Madsen led Groton with 20 points, three rebounds, five assists and four steals. Reilly Ell added 19 points, had six rebounds and three steals. Both players fouled out of the game. Next was Parker Rossow with seven points, Spencer Knecht had four points and one rebound. Gabe Dohman had two points, two rebounds and one steal. Wyatt Lone and Kasey Kurtz each had one point.
• Groton made 36 percent of its field goals compared to 53 percent for Mobridge. Groton was 18 of 27 from the line off of Mobridge's 23 team fouls. Groton had 24 rebounds, 13 assists, two blocks, both by Madsen, and 20 turnovers with 11 of them being steals.
• Mobridge-Pollock was in scoring by Daniel Roberts with 23 points followed by Zach Dockter with 16 and Pearson and Wientjes and Michael Heumiller with 10 each. Mobridge made 10 of 18 free throws off of Groton's 20 team fouls, had 25 rebounds, 10 assists, two blocks and 18 turnovers with 10 being steals.
Mobridge-Pollock led at the quarter stops at 12-10, 21-17 and 28-22 en route to a 34-30 junior varsity win.
• Kyler Ell led Groton with 10 points followed by Jackson Doeden with seven, Wyatt Larson had six, Spencer Knecht five and Gabe Dohman added two points.
