• Groton's Lady Tigers played a good game against a taller Deuel Cardinal team on Thursday, giving up their lead and ultimately the game in the last minutes of the game. The final score was 46-43, Cardinals.
• Deuel got off to a quick lead scoring two 3-pointers in the first two minutes of the game, but the Groton defense soon put a stop on them, holding them to only one more point from the free throw line. The Lady Tiger offense racked up three field goals and a free throw to tie up the score with just under two minutes left in the first quarter and that's the way the first quarter ended, tied up at seven points.
