We would like to express our appreciation to all those who helped make the Groton Community Thanksgiving Dinner a success. The kindness shown by monetary and food donations, as well as those who helped serve and deliver meals was a true blessing. With the help of so many we were able to serve 65 people and make a donation of $528 to the Groton Crisis fund. Groton truly is a caring and giving community and we are very proud to be able to call Groton our home.

A benefit dinner for Hudson Reints son of Vaugh and Melinda Reints will be held Sunday, December 9, 2012. The dinner will begin at 12:00 noon at the Langford Evangelical Lutheran Church. Dinner will consist of hot turkey sandswiches, barbeques, hot dogs, chips, vegetable soup, chili, and dessert table. A free will donation will be taken. hudson will have surgery on December 10th to help control and slow down the number of seizures and the severity. Hudson is a wonderful little boy with a big heart and smile and is just ready to try to talk and sing to the world. Matching funds are provided by Thrivent. A fund is also set up at Wells Fargo, Groton branch.
