SD man gets 20 years for sexual abuse charge

• MCLAUGHLIN, S.D. (AP) -- A South Dakota man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for sexually abusing a child.
• U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson has announced that 53-year-old Bradley Speker, of McLaughlin, was sentenced last week for aggravated sexual abuse of a child. Speker pleaded guilty to the charge in August.
• Prosecutors say Speker engaged in a sexual act with a child under the age of 12 between January 2010 and January 2012.

Wildlife photographer to present at SDSU

• BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) -- A National Geographic wildlife photographer will speak at South Dakota State University on Tuesday and Wednesday.
• South Dakota native Joe Riis will give presentations on Pronghorn Passage, other conservation photo stories and conservation photography around the world in the Northern Plains Biostress Lab.
• Riis will share his photographs and talk about his two-year-long project photographing the Grand Teton pronghorn migration. He'll also share photos from his recent National Geographic assignments that have taken him to four different continents.
• The sessions are Tuesday at 6 p.m. and Wednesday at 4 p.m.
• The presentations are cosponsored by the Department of Natural Resource Management and the Brookings Wildlife Federation.

• Minutes after the Packers wrapped up their 23-14 victory over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday afternoon, Seattle beat Chicago in overtime to drop the Bears back into a tie with Green Bay for the division lead.
• Yes, that would be the same Seattle team that stole a win from the Packers (8-4)
