YOU'RE NOT INCLUDED TONIGHT

• Young Timothy and his mother had a difficult evening. It was a struggle to get him to practice his piano lesson and even more trouble getting him to do his homework. Scolding and threats did no good. In desperation his Mother finally said, "No bed time snack for you tonight and tomorrow when school is over you will come straight home and practice your piano lesson for an extra fifteen minutes."
• After reading the Bible together, his mother asked him to pray. He offered a lengthy prayer that included the name of every one of his friends, all of his teachers, his neighbors and each family member except his mother. When he finished praying he turned to her and said, "Well, I suppose you noticed that your name was not included in my prayers!"
• Resentment and revenge are major goals hidden deep in the minds of many individuals - even some Christians. But it cannot be found anywhere or any place in the heart of God. His love is all-inclusive, His mercy never-ending and His grace all-sufficient.
• "God so loved," we read, "that He gave His one and only Son for everyone!" His love has no conditions or constraints, no beginning or end. His love is not dependent on feelings or emotions, good days or bad days, mornings or evenings. His love is also guaranteed for those who willingly accept Him with the assurance that we will be with Him forever in heaven!
Prayer: Thank You, Heavenly Father, for the love that we have in Your Son, our Savior. We rejoice in the promise of Your salvation knowing how undeserving we are. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Scripture for Today: John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
