Much of northern and eastern South Dakota, as well as west-central Minnesota, picked up beneficial rainfall over the past several days.  Rainfall totals varied widely - from less than 0.10" over west-central and south-central South Dakota to over 4.0" inches across far northeastern South Dakota, in the Sissteton Hills/Prairie Coteau region. A preliminary rainfall map is shown below. Groton received 1.88 inches of rain.
