Another slough fire
• Drought conditions have resulted in another slough grass fire on Tuesday. The Groton Fire Department was called out to a small fire near the Roger Rix Farm north of Groton. According to Groton Fire Chief Dion Bahr, the cause of the fire is undetermined at this time. • Groton was able to control the fire and put it out.. • "The annexation seems to be working," Bahr said. "Firemen from the Bath station were in route and were turned around".
