• It was evident during the homecoming parade that there is a change in the wind for the local Ford dealership. The first vehicle has a sign that says, "Pioneer Ford--Thanks for the memories." The next vehicle has a sign that says, "Coming Soon! Groton Ford." The north building of the Pioneer Ford franchise, that used to be Trail Cheverolet many years ago, was recently sold to Brian Bahr. That building is being used as a temporary office for Paetznick-Garness Funeral Chapel as they are putting up a new building.
• Meanwhile the former Trail Chevrolet complex at US 12 and SD 37 is being converted for the future Groton Ford company.
