Weekend fire destroys honey company building in SD
• ANDOVER, S.D. (AP) -- Fire has destroyed a building at the Taylor Honey Co. in the northeastern South Dakota town of Andover. • Officials say the Sunday afternoon fire started in the engine of a fuel-powered pump that two workers were using. One man was treated at the scene for minor burns. • Firefighters contained the blaze to the honey company building but a few homes nearby were evacuated as a precaution. • The building contained beeswax, honeycombs and other items. Business owner Paul Taylor says the honey harvest has wrapped up and all of the company's honey had already been shipped out. •
SD governor urges troops to register to vote
• PIERRE, S.D. (AP) -- South Dakota Gov. Dennis Daugaard is urging military personnel to register soon to vote in the November election.
