• Over 40 Brown County 4-H members were on hand to compete at the county horse show in June. The show was held in the new horse arena on the northeast side of the Brown County Fairgrounds despite the early morning wet weather.
• Contestants competed in several classes, including roping, showmanship, equitation, barrel racing and pleasure driving. Members receiving a purple ribbon advanced to the State 4-H Horse Show in Huron in July.
