Groton Post #39 led the processional to the Groton Union Cemetery as the funeral for Darrel Fliehs was held yesterday. A large crowed paid their final respects. Darrel operated Darrel's Sinclair for many years in Groton.

W.O.W. to start at UMC

Starting Wednesdays Sept.5th Groton UMC is starting a new endeavor. A new worship service on Wednesday nights called W.O.W. Every Wednesday at 6:15pm the worship experience will be a service designed to meet the needs of our busy life schedules. It will be a time for heartfelt contemporary worship, scripture, prayer, community sharing and building up the body of believers here in Groton all in a service that will run 30-45 minutes long. This service is open to all who wish to attend. We strive to be a community of faith that offers "Open Hearts, Open Minds and Open Doors."

Folk Mountain Gospel to be here Sept. 9

Sept. 9th @ 2pm there will be a concert at Groton UMC. Folk Mountain Gospel will be here once again to share their gift of music. You'll hear such instruments as the hammered dulcimer, bowed psaltry, zither, mountain dulcimer, mandolin and guitar. A love offering will be taken and you will have to opportunity to purchase cds, dvds and instruments. Come and meet Don and Donna Mohl, hear their folk mountain music along with their family oriented message of God's love and Grace through Jesus Christ. You won't want to miss this unique performance!
