South Dakota man sentenced in beating death
• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- A South Dakota man has been sentenced to nine years in prison for his part in beating another man to death. • U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson announced Tuesday that 29-year-old Ronald Kills In Water of Mission was sentenced for the October 2011 beating death. Johnson says Kills In Water aided and abetted the beating of the victim, who died as a result of his injuries. • Kills In Water also was sentenced to two years of supervised released and ordered to pay restitution. • He was remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service. •
Moeller asks for nothing done to delay execution
• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- An attorney appointed to represent convicted killer Donald Moeller has told a federal judge that Moeller wants nothing done to delay his execution. • Moeller was convicted in 1997 for the rape and killing of Becky O'Connell.
