• Groton Post #39 defeated Sisseton in a pair of games Wednesday night.
• Groton won the first game, 19-9. Groton scored 19 runs on 18 hits and had five errors. Jamie Jorgensen had two doubles, Weston Hoglund had three singles, Ryan Delzer a double and two singles, Brandon Stanley a double and a single, Matt Thorson had a triple and a double, Dalton Locke had a double, Mitch Madsen a triple and a single and Eric May had a double and a single.
• Sisseton scored nine runs on six hits and had no errors.
• Mason Madsen was the winning pitcher, throwing 108 pitches in seven innings

for six hits, four walks and five strike-outs. Hoglund was the catcher.
• Groton won the second game, 12-2. Jamie Jorgensen had a grand slam home run in the fourth inning. Ryan Delzer and Michael Erickson each had two doubles, and adding one hit each were Brandon Stanley, Matt Thorson, Zach Herron and Weston Hoglund.
• Groton went through three pitchers--Jorgensen, Locke and Mitchell Madsen.
• Groton scored 12 runs on seven hits and had three errors. Sisseton scored two runs on one hit and had one error.
