SD Board of Water approves $45M in grants, loans
• PIERRE, S.D. (AP) -- Millions of dollars in grants and loans will go to several towns, communities and associations in South Dakota for projects related to drinking water, wastewater and recycling. • Gov. Dennis Daugaard announced that the state Board of Water and Natural Resources approved more than $45 million projects during its recent board meeting in Pierre. • The $45 million total includes nearly $2.8 million in grants and $42.2 million in loans. • The grants and loans awarded are administered through the South Dakota Department of Environment and Natural Resources. • In a statement, Daugaard said the grants and loans will result in better drinking water, improved wastewater and better protection of the environment. •
Sioux Falls men named to top Air Patrol positions
• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- Two Sioux Falls men have been named to top positions of the Civil Air Patrol's South Dakota Wing. • John Seten is assuming command of the 300-plus member wing. The 49-year-old Seten is a 14-year member of Sioux Falls Fire Rescue.
