Canistota baseball breaks 71-game losing streak

• CANISTOTA, S.D. (AP) -- Canistota's amateur baseball team has ended a losing streak that lasted three seasons.
• KJAM radio reports that the Rebels snapped a 71-game losing streak Sunday, taking both games of a double-header against Humboldt-Hartford at home.
• Canistota won Game 1 7-0 over the Gamecocks as Corey Struck threw a shutout.
• The Rebels hung on to win a wild second-game 20-10 to improve to 2-5 in the Corn Belt League. The wins mark the first time Canistota has climbed out of the cellar re-forming in 2009.


Rapid City officials dedicating flood marker

• RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) -- The U.S. Geological Survey is installing flood markers at several locations in Rapid City and Keystone as a reminder of the 1972 flash floods along Rapid Creek and Battle Creek that killed 238 people.
