• RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) -- A former Rapid City mayor was arrested and jailed for fleeing police and resisting arrest. • A Rapid City police statement says an officer had to draw his gun on former Mayor Jim Shaw before arresting him Tuesday afternoon. • Authorities say Shaw was driving 52 mph in a 40 mph zone in Rapid City when a police officer tried to pull him over.
