Her interests are riding horse, biking, swimming, singing, babysitting, drawing, reading, working on the farm, being at the lake, spending times with friends/family. Her favorite subject is Biology II. Her occupational outlook/future plans are major in Biochemistry and minor in Spanish at Augustana College. She hopes to become a doctor in the future. and her role modle is her mom Kristi.

Kathy Knudsen (left) was named the Aberdeen Zontian of the Year at the club's May meeting. This award is voted on by the club members. The selection process begins in March when the club members nominate their choices for the award. In April the top nominees go through another voting process. The Zontian of the Year is then revealed at the May meeting when new officers and members of the board of directors are installed. Kathy has been the club's

president the past two years and proved to be a capable and hard working leader. She kept the club members informed on important dates and events, guided the group toward the goals of advocacy for women and children, and helped keep everything in order - all with a cheerful smile and a positive attitude! Presenting a gift to Kathy is Mary Davis, the Aberdeen Zonta Club's vice-president.
