July 24 Special

Meeting Minutes

The Board of Trustees for the Town of Claremont met in special session at City Hall at 7:00 pm on 7-24-2018.

Those present were Ted Dickey with NECOG and representatives of Helms and Assoc.

Brandon Smid of Helms and Associations gave a power point presentation on Claremont's sewer and Lagoon problems and possible fixes.

Ted Dickey was present to give ways to possibly fund this project, which will cost approximately $1,888,679.00 dollars.

On a motion by Rasmussen and seconded by Spencer, the following resolution was adopted.

Resolution authorizing application and appointment of applicant agent for the USDA Rural Development Loan and/or grant application.

A resolution of the Town of Council of the Town of Claremont agreeing to apply for financial assistance with the United States Department of Agriculture, Rural Development to finance the Wastewater Improvement Project. Be it further resolved that the Town Council of the Town of Claremont authorizes the Town President to sign all documents relating to the USDA Rural Development loan and/or grant.

On a motion by Spencer and seconded by Rasmussen authorizing the Town President to sign State Water Plan application to S.D. Department of Environment and Natural Resources. Motion carried.
