Town of Westport General Meeting
April 9th, 2018
The Town of Westport met on April 9th, 2018 with Tim Selzler, Shane Storm, Mike Wilson and Doreen Hertel present.
The following expenses were presented:
NWPS ($554.45), Groton Independent ($17.03), B & B contracting – snow removal ($290.00), US treasury ($460.84) & SD Unemployment ($14.10)
NWPS ($44.24) & NRWA –loan repayment ($210.13)
WEB ($1,016.31), Dept. of Revenue ($15.00), Water Maintenance District ($321.43), DENR –Loan repayment ($3,912.12).
Tim Selzler made motion to pay all bills; second by Mike Wilson.
The following deposits were presented:
Brown County Collections ($595.23), Hall Rent ($75.00), State of SD ($3,665.12) & Interest ($27.10).
Resident Payments- ($1,650.00) & Brown County Collections ($231.00).
Resident Payments – ($2,803.93).
2 new resolutions were presented to the board. Resolution 7 provided a surcharge fee for the sewer. The surcharge will be a base of $26.00 per active, inactive user and Business/piggyback per month. The base was changed to $9.00 per active user, and 18.00 for Business/Piggyback. This is effective on July 1st, 2018. Resolution 6 gives approval to certain sewer facilities improvements. Both resolutions were passed.
