Mud Creek Sediment and Obstruction Removal Project
Sealed Bids for the construction of the Mud Creek Sediment and Obstruction Removal Project will be received by the Brown County Mud Creek Watershed District, located at 12960 406th Ave. Groton, South Dakota 57445, until 10:00 am local time on Friday, March 23rd 2018, at which time the Bids received will be “publicly” opened and read.
Bids are invited upon the items and approximate quantities of work as follows:
1. Sediment Removal
2. Beaver Dam Removals
3. Remove and Dispose Rubble Pile
Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form.
The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Helms and Associates, 221 Brown County Highway 19, Aberdeen, South Dakota 57401 (605) 225-1212 email@example.com. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below.
Bidding Documents may be viewed and ordered online upon a one-time payment of $20.00 by registering with the Issuing Office at http://www.helmsengineering.com/biddocs.html. Following registration, complete sets of Bidding Documents may be downloaded from the Issuing Office’s website as portable document format (PDF) files. The 11”x17” paper drawings and Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office upon payment to Helms and Associates in the amount of $100.00 for shipping and handling. Cost of Bidding Documents and shipping is non-refundable. Additionally, upon request, in accordance with South Dakota Codified Law 5-18B-1, one copy of Plans and Specifications shall be furnished, without charge, to each Contractor resident in South Dakota who intends, in good faith, to bid upon the project. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of the Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office.
Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bank draft payable to the order of the “Mud Creek Watershed District”, Groton, South Dakota or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value) in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. A bid bond in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid will be accepted in lieu of a certified check or bank draft. Surety for bid bond must be authorized to do business in the State of South Dakota.
Bids may be held by the Mud Creek Watershed District, for a period of not more than thirty (30) days from the date of opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids, investigating the qualifications of the bidders and completing financial arrangements prior to awarding the Work. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding.
